Small Note From Bali Pilgrimage

Some time ago I had the opportunity making pilgrimages to the tombs full of Islam miracle on the island of Bali. Among these sacred tombs belonging to the Wali Pitu (Seven Guardians) were found by Habib Zein Thoyyib Ariffin Assegaf from Sidoarjo, East Java.

Mausoleum of Habib Ali bin Abu Bakr ibn Umar ibn al-Hamid Abu Bakar
Descendant of the Messenger of Allah 36.
Located in the old cemetery of Kampung Islam Kusamba, District of Dawan, Klungkung Regency
In front of the tomb was built a statue of a turbaned and robed figures on horseback, the monument is white.
Key interpreters; Mrs. Hj. Badr (about 2 500 m after the tomb, the front KUA Kusamba)

His Miracle;
During his life he worked as a professor of government of King Kelungkung Dhalem I Dewa Agung Jambe. At that time he was given a horse as a means of transportation and commute between Kusamba – Klungkung.
On a day when Habib Ali got home from Kelungkung to Kusamba Village, when he was through a temple, he asked to dismount from his horse by the temple guards with less politely, there was tension that ends with stabbing a barrage to the body of the Habib, which ended with the death of Habib the incident site. The miracle occur from Habib Ali’s body out of light bluish white and yellow, the light was so bright it lit up almost the entire village Kusamba

1. Tomb of Maulana Shaykh Yusuf al-Maghribi Al Bagdadi
Descendant of the Messenger of Allah 43
Located in the old cemetery of Islam Kampung Karang, Bungaya Kangin Village (East), District Bebandem, Karangasem Regency

His Miracle;
In the year 1963 AD, when Mount Agung erupted that seemed to rumbled eastern of Java, while Mount Agung in Karangasem district located in east of Bali. This shows how great and terrible blast of the eruption and spit out by Mount Agung. Some villages ravaged, many houses collapsed, many large trees had fallen, the rain of sand and gravel had flooded the island of Bali.
However, a unique, Tomb of Sheikh Maulana Yusuf Al Baghdi upon which the stacked arrangement of red stones arranged just not reinforced with cement, sand and lime has not changed one bit, not even one grain of sand that can touch it.

2. Mausoleum of Habib Ali bin Zainal Abidin Al-Idrus

3. Tomb of Sheikh Tengku Abd. Derived from Aceh
Located at the public cemetery of Kampung Islam Kecicang, Bungaya Kangin Village (East), District Bebandem, Karangasem Regency
This grave condition untreated.

Karang Rupit
The tomb of The Kwan Lie or the complete name is The Kwan Pao Lie
A woman from China who disguised as a man.
The designation is Shaikh Muhammad Abdul Qodir
She is a student of Sunan Kalijogo
Located on the Karang Rupit Seaside, Kampung Labuan Aji, Temukus Village, District of Banjar, Buleleng Regency
Key interpreters; Mr. Abdul Latif

Grave is located in the neighborhood of Boarding Schools
Located in the Village West Loloan, District of Negara, Jembrana Regency

Seseh Seaside
Tomb of Prince Mas Sepuh
The designation is Shaikh Ahmad bin Hamdun bin Khoirussoleh
Located on the Seseh Seaside, Munggu Village, District Mengwi, Badung Regency. Adjacent to the Great Temple
Key interpreters; a man from Hindu Stakeholders

His miracle;
Prince Mas Sepuh in other words Raden Amangkurat, which had a name of Bali, Ida Cokordo. He was the son of King Mengwi I, who was married a muslim princess from the Kingdom of Blambangan, Banyuwangi, East Java. Since childhood he had been separated from his father, he was nurtured and raised by his mother at Blambangan.
After Prince Mas Sepuh know who he was, he begged his mother to seek his biological father, King Mengwi I. With a keris (traditional knife) equipped heritage originating from the Kingdom of Mengwi and intention to devote himself, he went to Mengwi.
However, after meeting with his father, there was a misunderstanding. Then with sadness Prince Mas Sepuh eventually went back to Blambangan to tell his mother about the events that have occurred. But on the way to go home, once on Seseh Seaside, Prince Mas Sepuh attacked by a group of unknown armed men, so the battle occured. Seeing that a lot of victims from both sides, Prince’s heirloom his keris revoked and pointed upward, the top of the keris issue immediately a ray and a miracle happened, an armed group attacked suddenly paralyzed, silent haunches. Finally, the attacker known if there was have family relationships between them, it is seen from the clothes and also from the view of Prince Mas Sepuh soul. After everything seems allright, Prince Mas Sepuh put the keris back in to the cover heritage, and the group of attackers can be moved and then salute to Prince Mas Sepuh.

Tomb of Maulana Yusuf Habib Umar bin Al-Maghribi
For a while some people still believed that he was relative of Maulana Shaikh Yusuf Al- Maghribi Al Bagdadi, which the tomb was located in Kampung Karang Sokong, Bungaya Kangin Village (East), Bebandem District, Karangasem Regency
Located in Bukit Bedugul, District of Bedugul, Tabanan

His miracle;
Long time before the fall of the New Orde, the slopes of Mount Bedugul residents often see rays of light, like a very bright light coming from the tomb of Habib Umar, but entering the reform era that light was rarely seen anymore, even almost none at all.
Also the famous of the Bedugul Hill geothermal energy sources which have power are two times more heat than Mount Agung, the famous volcano in Bali. But with Habib Umar’s miracle until now Bedugul Hill area still looks safe.

Grave Siti Khotijah (Ratu Ayu Anak Agung Rai)
Located in Kampung Batu Karu, Pamecutan Village, District Monang Maning, Denpasar

Her miracle;
She is the daughter of King Cokorda III from the Pamecutan Kingdom, with surname is Batara Sakti who reigned around the year 1653 AD or
17th century AD. She was a wife of Prince Sosrodiningrat, a Senopati kingdom of Mataram.
Siti Khotijah after proposed by Prince Sosrodiningrat, embraced to Islam and earnestly pursue and implement by learning of Islam. The whole family including the King is strongly opposed to the attitude Siti Khotijah, whom very obedient to her new beliefs. Various methods pursued by the King and his relatives to change the hearts of Siti Khotijah, but never succeeded. Until one time later, Siti Khotijah said, “if Islam which I now profess is not correct, then one day when I died all over my body will issue a very foul smell, but on the contrary, if Islam is correct, then one day when I died all over my body will issue a very sweet and fragrant scent. ”
Until one night, while Siti Khotijah do a Night Prayer in the state of her bedroom which the door was open, accidentally seen by a royal courtier who was on guard. When Siti Khotijah say Allahu Akbar, it heard by the retainer, then the retainer approached princess’s room to make sure his hearing, he heard again the voice of Allahu Akbar for three times, but that the retainer is perched in his ears was makebar, makebar, makebar, which in Bali means ‘fly’.
The retainer seems more curious and tried to approach the princess’s room and peeked through the open door. He was very surprised when he saw Siti Khotijah visible from behind shrouded in white cloth (mukenah), his mind immediately says that he saw a Leak (invisible evil), then he immediately went to the King to report what he saw in the princess’s room. Then the King went to his daughter’s room. When he saw Siti Khotijah was prostrate, without thinking, the King ordered his retainer to stab with a keris (dagger) to Siti Khotijah’s backs. Immediately the fresh blood gushed from Siti Khotijah’s backs. What a surprise when he saw Siti Khotijah’s body was bathed with blood.
Simultaneously, there was remarkable oddity, fresh blood is generating a very fragrant scent, this fragrance wafted up out of the room and then to the air of Pamecutan princess palace. In fact the whole city of Denpasar can smelled the fragrant scent. All residents, especially the family palace, very surprised, including the King of Pamecutan.
Siti Khotijah now proved her greeting. .
After that, The Royal Family tried to fix and help to lift Siti Khotidjah’s body but they can not do it, her body remained unchanged prostration, the King finally inquire to the Muslims who were there in order to care for her daughter’s body according to Islamic ways. Then the Muslims immediately helped the King by taking care of Siti Khotidjah’s body, ranging from bathing, cover it with kaffan, prays her, than buried her. But one thing that is insurmountable that the keris which dagged at the back of Siti Khotijah’s body can not revoked, the final decision was ultimately be buried with the body still in the keris dagged.
And oddly the keris’s handle wich made of wood, was grew and live until now. The keris’s handle which grows into a tree, believed to cure all diseases This can be proven if you visit the grave.

There are also several tombs that also have such miracle;
1. Sunan Mumbul
Prince Raden Mas designation in Datuk Kyai Mumbul
Located in Taman Ujung, Beach Ujung, Karangasem

Some story told that Prince Datuk Mas Pakel was the crown son of Pejanggik Kingdom at the island of Lombok, defected to the Karangasem Kingdom Castle for pain. Prospective wife at forcibly seized by his own brother.
The Prince defend the royal palace of Karangasem Kingdom in the battle against the Kingdom Pejanggik and win. Since then the King of Puri Karangasem kingdom began to love him, although the Prince comes from Islam and always wearing a white robe and white turban which adorned his head. This make envy of other royal family. Then they arrange to made a conspiracy to destroy the Prince.
With the issue that there will be an enemy will attack the kingdom of Karangasem, who landed on the Ujung Beach, then some one must holds the king’s mandate, than the Prince finally leaving to the Ujung Beach. Upon arrival, it has been waiting for the courtier who then caught him on the orders of the royal family who is jealous of the prince.
Then the prince was forced to dig a hole that would become his tomb. Unfinished dug holes suddenly swiftly swung a retainer with a sword to cut the neck of the Prince. Miraculous, suddenly the Prince shot flew like a flash of white light and disappeared, only his turban alone who flew to the top and fell right in the middle of an unfinished hole dug.
As a tribute to the services of the Prince, the King buried a white turban as a sign of mourning the Kingdom of Puri Karangasem. On the event.
Prince Datu Mas Pakel turned back to the island of Lombok and died there. By the Muslim community around the tomb give other name for the tomb with the Tomb of Sunan Mumbul. Mumbul which means flying in the Balinese language.

2. Saren Jawa
Tomb of Shaikh Tuanku Jalil
Located in Kampong Islam Saren Jawa, Karangasem Regency

Please note for those interested in making pilgrimages to the Wali Pitu in Bali, that the truth about seven tombs was not quit yet or definitely true, because there is disinformation in it. Until now still continues to research the validity of Wali Pitu held in Bali.
